A beautiful new single from Linda Marks pulls together this beautifully warm set of tones that sort of invite you along for this love song of sorts, as she gets totally descriptive lyrically and pulls you into her first-person perspective story that feels almost like it was built purely off of emotion.
This is a single that feels familiar to us, and that's basically because it's got such a universal sentiment. It works for anyone that wants to be around that special, particular someone.
To me, this single feels like the honeymoon sort of phase, or if you just meet someone fresh and all of a sudden can't stop thinking about them.

I feel like some of that smooth jazz comes from the fact that it's piano-based, and it's got great additional instrumentation like saxophone, which really adds to the entire mood and aesthetic of how the song comes through in the first place.
It's a romantic single. It's about being romantic and falling for that person. You're in the moment with the song while you listen because she tells that story again, from her perspective, and everything just clicks.
The way the instrumentation creates the mood for those lyrics is really what gets me.
Linda's vocal performance is sort of classy. She's got a classic vibrato in her vocal, and because of that, they feel robust and passionate.
You can hear that she's really into it on the recording itself, and the whole thing came through with heart and loads of character. I think that's one of the biggest and most important aspects of the entire thing. Linda delivers so much persona throughout this track that you end up sort of holding on to that.
