A single release from Robin Shaw delivers a warm and bright soundscape and vibe with an acoustic version of a track that definitely feels like a summertime love song indeed and even the first line in the track says "I met you in the summer" but it's not just that. The track boasts such a breezy feel because of the colorful acoustic progressions and performances throughout it and that's something you end up wanting to hold on to when the song is even over.
"Bus 2 Nowhere (Acoustic Version)" has a welcoming approach as he tells the story of meeting someone and knowing something was there right from the get-go.
What I love about this is how descriptive he is lyrically because he paints such a great picture for you to see in your head as the song plays through and that's something that's so unique to me.
It was almost like reading a chapter in a good book because it's so descriptive and it has that element of letting you know what's going on and giving a certain level of detail but also leaving enough open so that you can fill the rest in with your own imagination.
This was so vivacious and sort of colorful with loads of catchy hooks and just this element of relatability because he talks about meeting this person and then not being able to get his mind off of them the entire rest of the time which is something I think a lot of us have experienced if we've been alive long enough.
It's just the way he expresses the inner thought process and how he can't stop thinking about this person and how it also creates a little bit of a struggle for him as he wants to ask this person for a dance or to go out but is having a hard time doing it because of how enamored he is.
Again, a very relatable situation and it's the way that he describes it that really grabs you.
This song has a lot of personality and character to go along with this catchy rhythm, amazing percussion that really fills the song up and makes it feel super lush along with those acoustic guitars, and vocals that sing you this story with a sort of harmonious and honest approach and that's how you know it kind of comes from someplace real.
Maybe this all happened to him and then he immediately went home to write this song. I'm not sure of course, but either way you can feel those vibes and that sort of energy coming from the song itself.
The cool thing about a track like this is that it makes you picture your own person or your own situation, perhaps a memory pops into your head.
I love that level of connectivity and that happens because of the way he delivers the vocals, the way the song comes through so full-bodied and fun, but also his way of articulating what exactly is going on in his mind.
I love songs like this because it makes you feel like you're not alone with this kind of situation and believe me, it certainly happens to everyone. We just don't all know how to articulate it the way someone like Robin does.
This was very fun, catchy, danceable, and that energy is one of the most infectious aspects of the song.
I would definitely check this out as soon as you can because it's got a lot to offer and while you're at it you can listen to the original version of "Bus 2 Nowhere" if you take a little dive through his back catalog which is completely worth it by the way.
There's a slew of amazing singles released on his Spotify page starting in 2017.
You can tell this is an artist that puts a lot into what he does and has a real love for the craft of songwriting and releasing music into the world.
Check this truck out as soon as you can and see how it affects you.
