A new release from Rosa Skotte comes through with a very fast undertoned soundscape in the form of this sort of dream pop and dance-pop combination and it works really well here because Rosa is able to incorporate such smooth and sultry vocals but still with a lot of passion into this mix so that adds a whole different layer to the aesthetic of the song and makes everything pop.
"Solo Dancer" has this particular sort of allure to it where it's incredibly danceable of course but it also has this wonderful energy that has a way of wrapping itself around you and keeping you right where it wants to.
One of the things I love about this track is how it combines old school sort of vintage almost 80s pop sounds and brings them into a current platform by using newer, more dance-pop oriented synth and key sounds as well.
The combination of old and new in terms of the music and production of the track make it a real bang or simply because it has a slightly nostalgic undertone to it at times but it also is super refreshing and crisp in terms of the production.
This song really does pop and it feels incredibly radio-friendly but also somewhat familiar so it seems almost like a song that you've been listening to on the radio for a few years now.
The beat is kind of a classic disco heaviness and some great synth pads float through the song's ether giving it this more vast ambience and atmosphere and this gives it a slightly cinematic drive as well.
I definitely dig how descriptive the lyrics can be because she does paint a great picture that you can actually see in your mind pretty vividly because of how detailed she is and I think that she does an amazing job with getting your attention vocally.
Her performance really sort of pulls you right in and this is a track that's great for the dance floor at the club or for jamming at home and dancing around the living room.
You can hear that she incorporates a lot of her influences in music in this track and that is partially because of some of the vintage sounds that you're hearing in there, and the track is a short and sweet one but it does let you sort of get engulfed in it for the time that it's on.
It certainly has that driving beat and it hints at edginess in its underbelly because it's got a little bit of a hard-hitting tonality at times which mixes in with that smooth overtone as well so together it has its own personality.
This is a single that speaks volumes for Rosa as an artist and showcases her presence a lot along with being a very smart songwriter because this was arranged super well, it's just over 3 minutes, and it gives you everything you could want out of a good pop song that is colorful, sultry, alluring, danceable, and just a little bit vivacious.
All that is squeezed into that 3 minute time span and all in all, this is a track that was meant for the radio waves.
I would suggest checking this out as soon as you can and if you turn it nice and loud then trust me, you can dance around your living room, shake your butt in the seat of your car, or just sing right along with it at any given time.
This is an addictive pop single that brings all the right elements to the table.
