A Blood Soaked, Theatrical New Single from Lost In Vampires

On this day of Halloween, you may be looking for some new and ghoulish music, and if that's the case, I have something perfect for you.

The brand new release from Lost In Vampires just dropped, and not only is this a theatrical, Gothic display of edgy, dark-cast metal, but it also gives you loads of storied chew on along the way.

"God of Blood" blends this sort of haunting backbone into the mix by incorporating certain kinds of keys and bells that give you some of the main melodies right at the start of the track, but it also gives you a horror movie-type vibe as well, and that's half the point.

The song walks the balance between a sort of vampiric mythology, painting thick pictures in your head as the song unfolds. You get all kinds of cool, supernatural imagery that pops in as the song plays, and I think this is really part of how the lyrics come across brilliantly.

I love any song that tells a story well, but even more so, paints that picture in your head. Your mind follows right along, and everyone's going to sort of interpret it a little differently, but the sentiment and story are pretty loud and clear.

It's kind of about bloodlust. No more fighting your own nature, but instead embracing it for this one night.

It's got a heavily fantastical theme, and it comes across with such richness that the theatrical element of it is really heavy-handed, and it helps it feel alive and breathing.

These guys paid a lot of attention to all the little nuances that really make it genuine.

The vocals are belting a lot of the time, giving this enthusiastic and electric energy that lines up with the energy of the instrumentation and the rest of the band as well.

The guitar work is outstanding here as well. The guitars come through in layers with a thickness, and there are all kinds of crazy progression changes that you just don't see coming.

You can tell that there was a lot of thought that went into the arrangement of this track and how it would turn out in the end.

One of my favorite aspects of the entire thing is the simple fact that they are creating this awesome mood that lines right up with the lyrics perfectly.

The drummer doesn't just sit in the pocket, but instead brings even more intensity to certain aspects, banging out climactic sections so that they're just sort of explosive.

You can kind of hear how the rest of the band pushes off that drummer.

However, having said that, the whole band feels almost like there's a massive amount of synergy flowing and fluctuating between them.

There's something about this that almost feels like a live performance. Maybe they recorded a lot of this live, on the floor, in one shot.

Of course, I wasn't there, so I'm not sure how they did it, but listening to this track makes you want to go see them perform it live, in your face.

This is mainly because of the simple fact that they can portray not just the energy but this thematic aesthetic so well on record that seeing them live must be really intense.

Like I said before, they pay so much attention to the little details throughout this track, and that's why it comes across the way it does.

They blend in cinematic alternative rock with elements of metal and that thick theatrical backbone to create an atmosphere that you get sucked into.

As I mentioned before, this track dropped today, Halloween 2026, and it's perfect timing because this is the kind of track I'm looking for on a day like this one.

This song delivers so many layers and comes at you with energetic textures and tones that come together and fit like puzzle pieces, but most of all, it's got a well-laid character.

It is about the story, but it's also about how the whole band performs.

Their enthusiasm and attention to how things feel aesthetically are absolutely brilliant.

That Gothic overtone is always there, and the whole thing has an outstanding way of wrapping itself around you and keeping you right where it wants to.

It's heavy, driving, melodically alive, and just bursting with character from start to finish, and it's been a long time since I've heard a track accomplish all of that in one shot.

The bridge and sort of breakdown section before the last chorus of the song is sick.

The guitar work there is absolutely outstanding, and how the band falls into this deep-pocketed bounce really hits hard.

This is not a track you want to miss.

Definitely take a deep dive into this one, turn it up, and remember where you heard it first.

Take off this Halloween with Lost In Vampires, and you won't soon regret it.
