A new release from ZERONIRVANA comes through is a wonderfully lush and orchestrated soundscape that leans on a cinematic backbone and feels impactful and genuine right from the get-go as its core delivers a beautiful character and a story that all grabs your attention.
"Lucid Drama" certainly delivers a lot of soul in the vocals and the performances of everything all together complement each other and can build a sort of atmosphere that you can be a part of and after a short while, you find yourself being engulfed in that atmosphere.
There's a lot about this track that tells you straightforwardly that this was authentic and pulled from real-life experience because that emotional drive is so heavy that it triggers memories of your own to pop into your head at random.
This track is a little bit outside the box in terms of its orchestration and its arrangement which makes it all the more graceful and beautiful because it can swell and sway as if it's alive and breathing.
This is an attribute you don't get a lot so when you hear it it's so refreshing.
The instrumentation that's allotted for this track was so warm and gave it so much depth production-wise because there's violin and piano that are really on the forefront with those vocals and those elements have different textures to them so the mix between them all really get you wrapped up in everything that's happening in the song.
A lot about this has a theatrical tone to it and it feels like it's something out of a scene in a play for example but that's because of the delivery vocally as well which has a lot of passion and soul to it.
There are a lot of different things happening in the song in terms of Mmelody and notes so the way that these intertwined with each other is very unique and it just makes you want more.
It's not often that I could say a song was most certainly orchestrated and took a lot of time to put together but this is one of those songs that you know definitely did because there are a lot of intricacies involved and there's a lot of attention to detail in terms of the composition, the arrangement, and how it's all performed together but even through all of that it never loses that heart that it began within the first place or that character that was delivered.
This is possibly the most important aspect of it all because the character is what you get connected with.
I found that this track definitely stayed with me especially because it affected how I was feeling at the time and I think that's because it served as such a great escape from my surroundings for a little moment in time that when the song was over I had to sort of snap myself back into reality again.
This to me is like a gift in music and it's such a rarity that it felt almost rejuvenating in a strange way.
The whole track was done with a beautiful touch, compassion, and this authentic aesthetic that you're able to fall right into and it's amazing how there are parts of it that feel like they could have served as a soundtrack to a certain chapter in your own life.
A wonderfully woven single delivered by an artist that we're going to be keeping an eye on from here on out.
