Quadrant Drops an Album of Heavy Rock Bangers

An album release from Quadrant delivers a mix of metal and rock genres that blend together and are all rolled up into one massive record that delivers tons of character and catchy undertones with edgy overtones and it's that combination that really hits hard for this record.

The Gravemind album is packed with memorable riffs and guitar tones along with this unique energy that almost feels like certain songs were recorded live on the floor and the players are all just feeding off of each other the entire time.

Now, I could be completely wrong about the whole live on the floor thing but listening to this record definitely makes you want to go see these guys live in your face because if this kind of energy is captured on record so well then seeing them live must be awesome.

Each song has its own sort of persona, and this is something that I adore about this release because as you go through the record you get these different vibes, different kinds of guitar tones, different subgenres of rock and so much more.

Listening to this album you get glimpses of indie rock, grunge, classic metal, progressive rock, and just tons more so if you were to hear just a few songs from this album you would get nowhere near the full spectrum of what the whole record has to offer.

This is most certainly one of those albums that you should be listening to as a whole from beginning to end because this way you really soak it in the way it was meant to be.

It all gives off such a great color but such a great edginess at the same time and the guitar work is outstanding across the board as are the drums and bass but it's the vocals that reach out and grab you because they're so robust and, in your face, the whole time.

There are tracks here that give layers of vocals at once creating this gigantic sort of atmosphere but also packing that same hard-hitting punch at the same time.

I personally like the heavier and harder-hitting tracks because they're like melodic and driving metal songs that have kick drums that just cut through everything, smashing you the whole time through and this lets the rest of the band thrive.

This was more of an experience than just an album and again, I can't explain enough how almost live it all feels because of that energy but all in all, this record delivers an undeniable sonic presence and knack for classic metal songwriting that hits like a sucker punch to the gut sometimes.

On top of that you have a lot of hooks and certain courses that really do stick in your brain for hours or sometimes even days after the songs have ended and the only way to satiate that is to go and listen to them again so that to me, is smart songwriting but I think it just comes naturally to these guys.

This is a band that has a pure love for their craft and when I say that I don't mean just playing guitar or singing, playing drums or bass, I mean writing songs together and putting them out into the world so other people can rock out to them.

This is purely a passion project and that's why it comes through so powerfully.

If you're into any kind of heavy rock or metal, then this will be 100% for you so check it out and don't be afraid to turn it up.

Remember where you heard it first.
