FÉ Delivers a Vintage Pop Single

A brand-new single release from most certainly delivers an outstanding array of vintage pop tonality with a soundscape that hits that 1980s movie montage scene aesthetic, and it does so with such an inspiring and spirited approach that it just feels good to listen to.

"Highway Road" is incredibly fun and hits with such a robust and colorful approach that it's hard to turn away from.

I am a child of the '80s and grew up watching tons of movies. I can tell you right now that this track was most certainly not only inspired by classic '80s pop radio songs but also by '80s films. Like I mentioned earlier, this is straight out of 1980s cinema and that whole vibe is completely nailed from beginning to end.

The synth and key tones that are used throughout this track really push that envelope and make it work. It's uplifted and has a sort of vivacious and bubbly feel but is arranged so well that it's got a perfect flow.

Even the way she pulls off her vocals captures that same feel. The melodies, the performance, the beat, the whole liveliness and energy of it come together to build that classic atmosphere that will quickly give you bouts of nostalgia.

The song is awesome, quite addictive, and has catchy hooks that stick with you long after the song is over.

I find this unique because it's not the kind of song that incorporates a much newer style or approach with that vintage '80s sound. Instead, it sticks to its guns.

The track to me is like an homage or a love letter to all those songs that might have grown up listening to just like I did.

Even the lyrical approach to the whole thing fits the bill.

The track has this massive snare drum that's got a bit of a reverb effect on it, and this is part of what had so much drive to the track, and it also has a great bill. By the time it gets to that last chorus, it gets bigger with more vocal harmonies and just a thicker, lusher soundscape.

This was such a fun song, and you can't help but get off your butt and start dancing around the room to it.

If you were a child of the '80s like I am, then this song will have an effect on you.

It is indeed an energetic song as I mentioned earlier. There is a ton of drive to it and it's part of what makes the song so infectious as well.

Not only is it super danceable but it also has that sort of anthemic tonality to it as well. Where you can sing along with it in the car by the time the third chorus comes in.

is a project that consists of just two people. The duo includes singer-songwriter Frederikke Bohr along with guitarist and producer Victor Ray Salomonsen.

You have to have a very particular vision to create a song like this between two people.

These two are absolutely on the same page with what they're doing and because of that, their synergy is incredible. You get this song that captures such a wonderfully nostalgic feeling, and they knew exactly what they were doing when they did it.

This was a freeing single that feels amazing to listen to. So, break out that classic yellow Walkman, rewind this cassette tape, and hit play.

It's more than worth your time, especially if you're a fan of classic pop music, cinematic, charismatic, and satiating.
