Esplanada is an alternative pop-rock band with a cinematic, melodic and emotionally driven identity. Built around carefully crafted songwriting, atmospheric arrangements and a collective creative approach, the band blends organic instrumentation with modern textures and a strong sense of narrative. Founded around Philippe M. — composer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and arranger — Esplanada has developed a sound that balances emotional intensity, melodic depth and refined production. Following the release of the albums Burning Bridges in 2024 and Closer To The Edge in 2025, the band is now entering a new artistic chapter with an expanded line-up and a renewed creative energy. Today, Esplanada brings together Silke, songwriter, vocalist and keyboardist, whose presence adds a more intimate and expressive vocal dimension; Killian Cruiser, on keyboards, contributing to the band’s sonic architecture; Ray Van D, guitarist, bringing a raw, organic and expressive rock sensibility; and Francesca Prattico, on drums and percussion, whose playing gives the music a precise, vibrant and instinctive rhythmic foundation. This new formation marks a more collective phase for Esplanada. Voices, instruments and textures interact within a sound that feels both modern and timeless — somewhere between alternative pop-rock, cinematic atmospheres, melodic tension and emotional clarity. Esplanada is currently working on a new album produced by Alex Aldi, known for his work with Passion Pit and St. Paul and The Broken Bones. This collaboration is guiding the band toward a broader, more ambitious and internationally focused sound, while preserving the essence of Esplanada: emotionally charged songs, rich atmospheres and music rooted in human connection.
