An Interview With Mellah Nix

A new EP release from Mellah Nix brings out a classic hip hop style packed to the brim with character, swagger, and an honest and straight forward flow and style that becomes addictive and likeable from the get-go.

The tracks on the Either Love ME or Leave ME Alone EP range in beats and feels but have a way of sticking to a staple sound all the same that becomes something you expect after a few tracks.

This style is brough on with these late 90's R&B riddled beats and undertones that have the Mellah Nix vocals on them laying out all kinds of lyrical phrasing that you just want more and more of.

The record comes through as an instant classic and holds little back in the way of creative tonality and building a certain kind of atmosphere that is infectious and it comes down to that character portrayed.

You get a crazy level of honest and some hard-hitting attitude at times but there is also that colorful and vibrant with a lot of attention to detail.

This was endlessly fun and really was as refreshing as it gets in terms of new hip hop being released.

This is the kind of record that has those gems you want to show your friends.

With the release of such a vibrant EP, we wanted to touch base with Mellah Nix to find out where this all came from and what may be next for the artist.
