An Interview With Katie Belle

A new single release from Katie Belle brings out a lush and alluring pop Style that blends with dance undertones and sultry vocals that draw you in and keep you right where they want to.

"The Best You'll Ever Have" is a vast and character-riddled track that grows into something sure to have you wanting to hit the dance floor in seconds flat.

The song features musical swells and sways that you can easily get engulfed by and all get rolled up into this pop drive that gives off a deep groove and also hints at classic pop and dance undertones giving it a slight nostalgic pull as well.

Not only was this extremely well arranged but the way that she performs on the song gives you a great idea of her presence as an artist and how she can have you wrapped around her fingertips and moments.

There's a lot to this track that also comes through a bit cinematic which I really like because, in the end, this ends up being something that you can actually escape into and step into her world for a little bit.

I think we all need and love songs that also serve as light forms of escapism because that's part of what music is really all about.

The style of this one comes through with a vivid tone and the whole thing creeps up on you and gets under your skin and the best ways possible.

The use of synths and keys throughout this track keeps things colorful and edgy at the same time while bringing that dramatic and theatrical factor to the table.

It's very easy to get pulled into this track and once you're there you honestly don't want to leave.

Everything about it has this subtle vibrancy to it that puts off a unique attitude and all of that becomes quickly addicting and infectious.

This release is incredibly radio-friendly and gives me little bits of Summer late-night clubbing vibes which are of course, more than welcome.

However, you also do get the feeling that this came from someplace genuine and real, and the way that she spends that into the song is gracefully and beautifully done but still without losing that edginess.

This track is definitely for fans of any kind of real-deal pop music and songs that you can shake your ass to without question.

With the release of such a well-woven and intriguing single, we wanted to have a sit-down with Katie Belle to find out where the song actually came from and what might be coming up next for the artist.

Here's what happened.

Buzz Slayers: Okay, let's start with The Best You'll Ever Have! This track had a refreshing and bright feel to it that came through with an edgy undertone! How did this single come about? This song was written in 2022 just after I made the decision to part ways with someone I really liked, but he just wasn’t in the same place as I and frankly the relationship had fallen into shreds. It was hard for me to walk away but I knew that was best for me. The strength I had after following through with my decision gave me such a sense of power and re- energized something I have always known: if a friendship or relationship has run its course there is nothing wrong with ending it, in fact (for me )it turn out to be a very healthy decision. “The Best You’ll Ever Have” is an homage , there is a lot of emotion playing out in this song and I think the listener can latch on to this. Buzz Slayers: How did this all start for you as an artist? When did you fall in love with music? I try to answer this question from different perspectives. The Young Me: I was in the 3 rd grade when I got a lead singing role in play at school. I feel hard to singing and performing before an audience. My music teacher took me on as a project and he really encouraged me to pursue arts and entertainment. When I was in High School I joined an Anti-Bully Tour and we traveled throught out the SE and Midwest performing before Junior and HS students. This experience really solidified my passion for performing. My late Teens to Present: I have fallen in love with songwriting! I have had several excellent mentors. Up to this point aside from 2-3 releases ( I don’t count Cover Songs ) my releases are originals I am a songwriter on. “ The Best You’ll Ever Have” was written by me and my producer Fabio Campedelli… our next release titled “Symptoms” in on track for a late July release. It’s very exciting to me to be reaching my stride with both performing and songwriting. This is my destiny and I Love it! Buzz Slayers: What kind of things really inspire songs for you? I keep multiple journals and am constantly writing one liners, interesting words etc down. I love to travel and meet people and this is also an inspiration. My life and those around me offer many many ideas to draw from. Buzz Slayers: This single has some great styles on it! Can you give us some of your biggest influences musically? Growing up in the 2000’s I was influenced (you guessed it ) Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift!!!!!!!! My parents listen to Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Jazz and Contemporary Pop… there are so many artist I admire: Dolly Parton, Neil Young, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Elton John, The Beatles, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Etta James….the list goes on and on… I am a BLEND and focus on bringing a fresh approach to each of my songs. Buzz Slayers: What are you doing when you're NOT working on music? I perform locally as a Solo Act all around the SE and I have a band I’m working on. We’ve had a few shows and are currently scrubbing our set list to give us more focus and branding. Atlanta has a thriving movie and production industry and I also book Voice Over work, Model and Acting. I just did a Spotify commercial for a regional chain, Schlotzkys Deli. I also landed a cover of the May issue of Intermodal Magazine which included an editorial on my music. Buzz Slayers: Who's in your headphones right now? Lana Del Ray-A&W, Artic Monkeys-Body Paint,Lorde-The Path, The Walters-Million Little Problems Buzz Slayers: Are you doing any live performances right now? I regularly perform around the Metro Atlanta area and the SE. I am the lead female vocalist for a “Black Tie” Band, Color the Night and we stay very busy. I have a great booking agent and we are focusing my band (branding) to land on some festival stages. Buzz Slayers: Did you record yourself or hit a big studio for this? My main producer is located in LA, so I travel out there several times a year to track vocals and song write. I do some recording at home via zoom, but I do prefer being in a proper studio for the bulk of my recordings. I also have some folks I work with in Nashville and will be headed up there in late July for some sessions. Buzz Slayers: What can your fans expect from you in the near future? My next original, “Symptoms” is on track for a late July release. I have filmed a music video for this song and my team and I are actively working on a comprehensive marketing plan. “The Best You’ll Ever Have” is a break up song, “Symptoms” is a danceable fun “love at first sight” song!! Buzz Slayers: Before we go, what would you like to say to fans of the music? THANK YOU a thousand times THANK YOU. My fans encourage me, chat with me, inspire me with their stories, me and share my music!!! There are so many levels of success in the music industry and they are an integral part of my success, couldn’t do this without them. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
