An Emotionally Driven Single from Saint Tragedy

A new single release from Saint Tragedy delivers a special breed of honesty as the song reaches into the bounds of losing a friend, and this is something that feels very emotionally driven of course, but the way it's displayed on the record gives it this beautiful sort of gracefulness and energy because of that straightforward honesty.

"Asking for A Ghost" is definitely a song taken from personal experience and it is the type of track that you feel like may have even been cathartic for the singer to have written and released.

For some of us, this can be very relatable, and it doesn't even just have to be about a friend for example, it can be about any loved one that we've lost.

Songs like this have strength because whoever wrote it, did it for their person and themselves but whoever listens to it may feel like they're not alone in that scene struggle.

Losing any loved one is extremely difficult and a lot of times you feel alone in your thoughts but songs like this are there to let you know that you're not.

The track is displayed with a beautiful set of tones and textures that range from a violin to clean guitars that burst into elements of heaviness and alternative rock soundscape when the chorus comes in but that's supposed to happen because that's when the emotion is at its highest level.

This was quite a brilliant song because it feels so personal that you end up feeling closer to the band themselves just because they were being so open about things.

That level of honesty is not an easy thing to portray in song and the thing about a lot of us feeling certain kinds of emotion or thinking certain kinds of thoughts is that we sometimes don't know how to articulate them and get them out in any way shape or form.

Some of us don't have that kind of creativity or outlet to be able to get those emotions of those thoughts out into the open and off of our chests.

Songs like this have power. Again. And these are the reasons why.

When you listen to a song like this you begin to realize that the song wasn't just written for that person. It was written for everyone that feels this.

I feel like that is one of the more important messages behind this track than anything else and the way the lyrics are portrayed is beautiful as well.

There's such description and detail even just about the thought or the emotion that they're feeling.

Something as simple as "I wish I was right there beside you again" goes such a great distance because it means so much.

Gorgeous soundscapes in an edgy and rock tonality but still a sort of graceful approach that really worked wonders here.

Check this track out with headphones on and see how it affects you.
